Tues@Vivocity
I rose bright and early (for the standard of a social outing) for a 2nd time within a week! Out of the hse before 10am! Isn't that amazing? Like what spinkypinkie said, it will certainly snow this Christmas! Hahah...
Went for breakfast once again (I hv a thing for McDonald's breakfast or for tt matter, any breakfast, since I hvn't woken up early enuff for the last 10 yrs at least for such elaborate breakfasts.) Happy to feed on hotcakes - brings back fond memories of childhood, or mayb it's the effect of advertising. Delightful maple syrup with melting butter on top of the warm hotcakes - Sinful, but delicious!
Although I fully intended to hate Vivocity (cos it's too far from my hse), I must say I was pretty impressed by it. Notwithstanding its sheer size, it also had a roof terrace with mini pools on the highest floor. With the backdrop of the setting sun, alot of pple were dipping their feet into the water while lazing and tokking with their pals by the poolside. Some children were also hving fun with their supersoaker guns. The whole feel was just really good!
Apart from the amazing pools, there was also a pretty fun playground for the children. Though the concept was simple, the playthings were fun! Even I was lured to play (alittle) at the water fountain + 'green hill'.
The GV was very impressive on the outside and before we entered the theatre. However, due to this, I was expecting more from the seats. The seats were just ok. I personally still prefer Cathay's seats. Still on the whole, no complaints.
I hv no idea why people just hv a thing for the sea, ships and seabreeze. But yes, there were SO MANY people on a Tues! Can't believe it...Singaporeans really hv no place to go, I think. Harbourfront was sadly empty in comparison.
All in all, Vivocity certainly should be visited for the experience that Orchard shopping centres can never offer.
